As you know the MDA ride for life is being held on May 1 right outside of the lehigh valley.I am writing to ask for some assistance. Bethlehem Brother Rob Gowarty's son Aiden was diagnosed with CMD a form of Muscular Dystrophy shortly after birth. The family and baby are doing well and they have been working with local MDA and Philadelphia hospitals. They have been making weekly trips to Philadelphia with much success. Why I am writing is that Brother Gowarty will be riding in the Ride for Life and would like to ask fellow firefigthers from the state to ride with him. This event is large and i know a number of firefighters including the General Presdient himself have riden in it. Is there a designee of the IAFF MG for the state of Pa that he can contact to coordinate something and/or can we post something on the state website that if anyone is interested in attending and riding with Brother Gowarty to contact him?
